What if I Need Help?
Patriot Software is designed to be easy to learn and easy to use. And if you ever need help with the software, we have made getting help easy, too! Yellow arrows point to your (many!) options for getting help, and each is explained below:
The help icons are the question marks inside the circles. Hover over the help icon for quick answers, or click the help icon for a longer explanation. When you click a help icon, you will see a new window open with a suggested help article from our Help Center.
Do you like to learn from a video tutorial? If so, watch for the small TV icon that appears on some pages of your Patriot online software account. You can click on the video icon to see a step-by-step video. For example, the video icon shown above links to a brief training video on how to pay an employee in the software.
ICONS AND HINTS: TURNING THEM OFF
The help icons and video icons will all be turned on when you first log in to your account. If you prefer to hide the icons and hints, simply click the “Hints On/Off” link at the very bottom of any page. This will hide both icons and the hint messages.
THE “GET HELP” LINK
The “Get Help” link is located at the top of any page. When you click, you can search for help articles in our Help Center gives you easy access to both plain-English printed help articles as well as our customer support team (i.e., email, call, chat).
HELP CENTER: ARTICLES
You will be able to answer most of your questions by reading one of the user-friendly help articles. You can find a specific topic two ways. First, you can click on the appropriate product (e.g., Payroll Software) and then using the left navigation to find your topic. Your second option is to type your topic name in the search bar.
HELP CENTER: ONLINE CHAT
Click “Get Help” at the top of any page, and then “Chat us” to start an online chat with customer support. You can chat online with our customer support team during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time). Every page of our online software has a chat box in the bottom right corner, for your convenience.
HELP CENTER: CALL US
If you would like to speak with a customer support representative, feel free to call us at (877) 968-7147 during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time). There is no charge for routine customer support. If you need more extensive customer support, we will inform you in advance of any charges.
HELP CENTER: EMAIL
Click “Get Help” at the top of any page, then click “Send us an email.” You can send an email message to Patriot Software at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our customer support team responds to customer email messages during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time).
